Let’s Talk KBIS Design Bites

So not sure how closely you follow me but this us usually the time of year I’m attending the Kitchen and Bath International Show (KBIS).  Of course because of COVID that wasn’t an option this time around. This year the experience was virtual. One of my favorite parts of the show is KBIS Design Bites.

Reason is I get to learn about lots of cool products that are coming to the market. More often than not I incorporate them into a project in the coming year. I also get to spend time with my design friends from across North America (Check out my shots from last year).

I want to share with you the 8 brands that presented this time. They were all so good and I hope you leave excited after seeing what they have to offer. I’m giving you all the cool videos and pictures for KBIS Design Bites.

1. Miele debuted a new fabulous dishwasher.

• It cleans and drys in under one hour
• A cutlery tray instead of a basket
• Automatic door opening: for perfectly dry dishes

2. This is one of my favorites and could revolutionize pretty much refrigeration as you know it. These refrigerated drawers can be switched from refrigerator to freezer with a button. You could put these anywhere!! SKS 

3. Next up is Control4 This is an awesome video doorbell system that does far more than any video doorbell you know about. Check them out

4. Brondell is a healthy home products manufacturer. As COVID has changed the way we live our lives. Brondell has developed a new air purifier. I could try and explain it but I think this video tells it best. Check out this 2021 DesignBites find.

5. This new wash tower from LG is superb.

6. Okay so this one I’m already incorporating into a client project. I actually discovered it prior to DesignBites and fell in love with it. The Tone by Kohler line is SEXY!!! With clean lines and a soft teardrop base, the Tone kitchen faucet collection features a fresh take on mid-century modern style. This inviting design, where minimalism meets warmth, makes for a perfect fit in any space. Paired with thoughtful functionality, the Tone collection is a dynamic beauty.

7. Wellborn Cabinets came out with all these cool features you can incorporate into your cabinets. Its better if you watch the video because there is so much goodness.

Last but certainly not least is Monogram. They have created such an excellent Pro Range product that seeing is believing.

This year was very different in terms of attending shows where I can see all the things but it was at least great to have a bird’s-eye view into what’s new to the industry.
